The Memory Hole Is Hungry Again — Gobbles Evidence Of Obama/Ayers Connection
Monday, October 20th, 2008My, but that ol’ memory hole is hungry this election cycle, and the Obama campaign is so worried about ol’ Barack Obama being linked with the unrepentant-domestic-terrorist-bomber Bill Ayers that they, or their minions, are out scrubbing Internet and blog sites of any mention that might be harmful.
Today Patrick Frey at Patterico brings to our attention another bite & swallow of memory in regards to this Obama/Ayers relationship. Last week the LA Times had said that there was “no recorded basis” for the assertion that Obama’s political career had been launched in the Ayer’s living room and had last Thursday linked to a post from a Liberal blogger that had been at that event and seen it with her own eyes. Hmmmm, it’s now Monday and imagine that — the post is no longer there.
The best evidence that Barack Obama launched his political career from Bill Ayers’s living room has disappeared . . . down the memory hole.
Well, not quite. The Wayback Machine and I have both saved copies.
{…}
As far as I know, I was the first blogger to directly link Warren’s blog entry — and I did so last Thursday.
Now it’s Monday, and this blog entry — which had been around since January 27, 2005 — is suddenly gone.
Well, you’re going to have to do better than this. Turns out the Wayback Machine still has a copy. You’re going to have to scrub that, too.
And, he has a screen shot of the original post. If you follow the link above to the copy it’s no longer readable unless you highlight the text, so I’ve copied the entire post and comments here for you reading pleasure.

Get to know Barack Obama
When I first met Barack Obama, he was giving a standard, innocuous little talk in the livingroom of those two legends-in-their-own-minds, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. They were launching him–introducing him to the Hyde Park community as the best thing since sliced bread. His “bright eyes and easy smile” struck me as contrived and calculated–maybe because I was supporting another candidate. Since then, I’ve never heard him say anything new or earthshaking, or support anything that would require the courage of his convictions. I only voted for him in this last race–because his opponent was a pinhead. And I’ve been mostly alone in my views. But maybe that’s changing.
Thanks, Barack. By voting to confirm Condoleezza Rice for Secretary of State you confirmed my opinion of you as someone who will not come through when it counts. You voted with the entire Republican membership rather than your compadre, Dick Durbin, and the man you supported for president, John Kerry. Your sense of collegiality is ridiculous under the circumstances.
What are all those people who thought you walked on water thinking now? I’m just wondering who’s going to whisper in President CandyAss’s ear when Condo’s busy playing Secretary of State.

Interesting comment – especially since I have felt the same way about Barack’s position on Condi – and, have been unable to find anyone else who shares my opinion – seems Barack has captured the hearts of the majority of Dems here in Illinois – Illinois’ Governor Blagojevich was hoping to be the favored son of the party and Mr. Obama has easily captured that role..Recently Obama opened his hdqtrs. in Springfield and welcomed with too open arms US Rep. Ray LaHood as a guest -several days later Mr. LaHood expressed his interest in running for governor against Blagojevich – Whose side is Barack on?

Barack is on Barack’s side. I would love to be wrong about him, but I’m not holding my breath. Bobby Rush kicked his butt a few years back because Barack has no substance. He sure has a boatload of ambition, though. Thanks for commenting!

Isn’t it interesting. In 2005 the Liberal Nutters were mouthing words like “. . . Barack has no substance. He sure has a boatload of ambition, though.”
See, just like ol’ Barack himself — if you catch a Liberal in an unguarded moment, they can tell the truth.
