Obama & His Radical Crew: More Fun In Good Ol’ D.C. — When Did We Slip Down The Rabbit Hole?
I’m gettin’ one of those big headaches — you know, the ones where a handful of Advil with a vodka chaser just won’t begin to touch. And, I’m startin’ to feel a bit like Alice after she fell down the rabbit hole. Down is now the new Up. Left is the new Right. Right is always Wrong, and what was always Wrong is now Revered. WTF?
Our newest fearless leader has been on vacation for about two weeks now, with very little face time for the American public. Fine by me — Obama is the most overexposed politician I witnessed in my lifetime. But, he hasn’t not been doing anything at all. Let’s see, the Washington Times lists there activities:
Meanwhile, Mr. Obama has hosted a private White House dinner to celebrate Ramadan, a Muslim religious holiday (during which adherents are supposed to fast), played golf at Arlington’s Army Navy Country Club (no press allowed), hit the beach on Martha’s Vineyard (closed to press) and had dinner with his wife at the Sweet Life Cafe.
A private Muslim “dinner” to celebrate a fasting holiday. If George Bush had done something like that the White House press corp would have skewered him to the max calling him stupid and insensitive among many other things. However, President BHO should know the protocols of Ramadan, don’t ya think? So maybe he knew something we don’t.
While all this vacationing has been going on, VP Joe Biden has been yuckin’ it up out there playing “acting” President and taking credit for the “success” of the stimulus program. From that same WT piece:
With President Obama off on vacation, his second in two weeks, unofficial Acting President Joe Biden has stepped into the vacuum, claiming credit Thursday for the successes of the administration’s $787 billion stimulus package and fielding questions on health care reform something his boss hasn’t done in nearly two weeks.
The vice president, borrowing Mr. Obama’s teleprompter for a speech before a friendly audience at the Brookings Institution, said “I” more than a dozen times as he pointed repeatedly to progress on the economy and to his lofty role in the process.
“Every week — with notable exceptions — I hold a Cabinet meeting. And most of the Cabinet secretaries attend,” he told the audience in Washington.
“I made it clear that our focus had to be, in the first 100 days, accountability, transparency and responsiveness.
If it wasn’t all so damn pathetic one would have to fall on the floor laughing — oh, why not? Bwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaa!!! Biden’s daffy, but not a radical. Can’t say the same about Obama’s Czars. Take the Green Jobs Czar, Van Jones, who evidently is a 9/11 “truther”, having signed the petition and all. The White House denied this, of course. But Gateway Pundit dug deep and found the proverbial smoking gun proving that Van Jones was in at the beginning of the Truther movement. Boy, can ol’ Barry pick ‘em, or what! Over at Ace, one of the writers points out that Van Jones was a supporter of cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.
Just the kind of guy one wants giving high-level advice to the President of the United States.
Well, not so fast there, pardner — ABC News is reporting that Van Jones may soon sport the tire tread pattern of Obama’s bus sooner than later.
Asked if controversial White House official Van Jones continues to enjoy the confidence of President Obama given recent revelations about his involvement with those who suggest the Bush administration knew about the 9/11 attacks and allowed them to happen in order to justify a war for oil, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs Friday morning would only say “he continues to work in this administration.”
{…}
Asked how the Obama administration could rail against fringe conspiracy theorists who falsely allege, despite evidence to the contrary, that President Obama was not born in the U.S., Gibbs said that that the “9/11 Truther” sentiments are “not something that the president agrees with.”
I wish I could say that Gibbs last statement made me feel a bit more at ease — but look at the language. Not something that the President feels is absurd, or totally out of line, or bat-shit-barking-mad — just “not something that the president agrees with.” Maybe that’s the nuance that we’ve all heard so much about. Shades of gray and all — give me black & white on issues like this, thank ya’ll very much! Which Bryon York at the Washington Examiner does quite well, in his short comments about the MSM coverage of the Van Jones story:
From a Nexis search a few moments ago:
Total words about the Van Jones controversy in the New York Times: 0.
Total words about the Van Jones controversy in the Washington Post: 0.
Total words about the Van Jones controversy on NBC Nightly News: 0.
Total words about the Van Jones controversy on ABC World News: 0.
Total words about the Van Jones controversy on CBS Evening News: 0.If you were to receive all your news from any one of these outlets, or even all of them together, and you heard about some sort of controversy involving President Obama’s Special Adviser for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, your response would be, “Huh?” If you heard that that adviser, Van Jones, had apologized for a number of remarks and positions in the recent past, your response would be, “What?” And if you were in the Obama White House monitoring the Jones situation, you would be hoping that the news organizations listed above continue to hold the line — otherwise, Jones, who is quite well thought of in Obama circles, would be history.
The ABC piece was on their website, so maybe, just maybe, it might show up on the Nightly News tonight, Friday night — when no one worth anything is watching? Well, Glenn Beck was paying attention:
Charles Krauthammer says that Van Jones Truther allegations are “devastating” and asks an important question:
Ed Morrissey at Hot Air comments:
What did the White House know about Van Jones’ Trutherism and when did they know it? Charles Krauthammer asks this question and calls the revelation about the Green Jobs Czar “devastating,” much more so than an epithet directed at Republicans that most of us have used at a wide range of people. Does Barack Obama believe that it’s acceptable to have paranoid conspiracists in high-level appointments, or was the White House simply too incompetent to properly research Jones in the vetting process? Because it comes down to those two options, and regardless of what we think of Jones, the blame for him being in the White House falls squarely on Obama[.]
More and more of this happening almost daily — How much more crazy BS can this administration produce? Guess we’ve got about 3-1/2 more years to find out!

Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma said at a Town Hall meeting the other day that he hopes America can survive 16 more months of Obama et al. We will then have the chance to change the residents of Washington that supposedly represent us. Lets keep
good scorecards and give the Socialists the boot.
