Tiny Little Lies

Twenty-six years ago this coming August I became an ex-pat Okie with a move to Southern California. My best friend at the time had just beat me out here by about a month. I was going to become a car designer, hence attending the Art Center College in Pasadena, and he wanted to make movies, starting his career working for Gail Anne Hurd and James Cameron on the original Terminator film. Since those heady days I’ve actually designed wheels for cars, and my bud has worked on the editing staffs of film and television including Ally McBeal and Boston Legal.

We first met working on a super-low-to-no-budget movie that was shot in my home town. I was renting some Mercedes Benzs to the production and hung around to watch a movie being made. He was the cameraman on the film. It was a terrible movie, and we had a blast. It’s premiere was in Collinsville, OK. If it ever played elsewhere, who knows . . .

Last night my friend, J. Randolph Harrison, had his first motion picture as producer/director/editor shown on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, CA at the Dances With Films independent film festival. Tiny Little Lies is a gritty, erotic suspense thriller with a twist. Well worth a viewing if it makes it to a festival or independent films outlet near you. Hopefully you’ll get to rent it on Netflicks or at Blockbuster.

Great job, Randy, for fulfilling a dream of a lifetime — just another Okie gettin’ it done!
