Obama is 'sort of god'

One of my readers commented the other day that “Actually what he [President Obama] wants to convince the Muslim world is that he is “Al Mahdi”, the 12th Imam that would reappear and bring peace to the world via world-wide conversion to Islam. According to News Busters, some of our MSM also see ol’ Barry O as some sort of god. Take Newsweek editor Evan Thomas for instance, in his remarks to Chris Matthews during their discussion of Obama’s Cairo speech earlier this week.

Newsweek editor Evan Thomas brought adulation over President Obama’s Cairo speech to a whole new level on Friday, declaring on MSNBC: “I mean in a way Obama’s standing above the country, above – above the world, he’s sort of God.”

{…}

Thomas elaborated on Obama as God, patronizingly explaining: “He’s going to bring all different sides together…Obama is trying to sort of tamper everything down. He doesn’t even use the word terror. He uses extremism. He’s all about let us reason together…He’s the teacher. He is going to say, ‘now, children, stop fighting and quarreling with each other.’ And he has a kind of a moral authority that he – he can – he can do that.” In response, Matthews wondered: “If there’s a world election between him and Osama Bin Laden, he’s running a good campaign.” Thomas agreed: “Yes, he is.”

Oh my, is that rich or what? Sickening, or what? As usual, The Anchoress has this Obama as godling meme ‘nailed’!

Evan Thomas, that bellweather of media obsequiousness, who once (accurately) predicted that the Democrat-loving press would give John Kerry “10 to 15% points” in his race fo the White House, has declared that President Obama is “sort of god”. Chris Matthews, who would suckle Obama’s manboobs, if only Obama would lactate for him, can be heard saying “yeah,” in the background.

I’ve always told you they thought Obama a godling. Now, they’ve admitted it.

Our press is not only not free, it is completely nuts; mad in its teen-fan lust, lost in the misty aphrodisiac of Obama’s power.

{…}

Even Vanity Fair understands that the press is nothing to the man they love, but a bunch of useful idiots.

Obama will suckle them while he must. Then he will eat them. And they’ll have it coming.

Bon Appetite!

    I wonder that when translated to whatever arabic language whether there is any difference between terrorism and extremism. I also wonder whether Chris Matthews still gets that tingle up his leg when speaking of Comrade Obama.

    Obama is not God. Quite the contrary, I suspect.

    God? Well, don’t agree with that – but I do agree that he’s campaigning. This guy is always campaigning for the next step up. He played with the Chicago Church – not because he was interested in Christianity, but because for the time, they were a good networking opoortunity for the furtherance of his political career. It was a large community church filled with angry constituents. However, outside of South Chicago, they became a liablity and he quickly dumped them. Now, you are right that he’s in a campaign for an even greater seat in the world community.

    Obama has been apologizing to the world for what he claims is the historical “arrogance” of America and their interference with other governments.

    He stated this week that “no system of government can or should be imposed upon one nation by any other.”

    But he then went on to tell Israel this week how they should run their country.

    Here’s a list of apologies he’s made around the world –

    Jan. 26: — in an interview with Al Arabiya
    April 1: — at a press conference ahead of the G20 in London
    April 2: — at G20 summit in London
    April 2: — President Obama, at the G20 in London, as reported by Germany’s Der Spiegel, where he said, “It is true…that the (economic) crisis began in the U.S. I take responsibility, even if I wasn’t even president at the time.”
    April 3: — in Strasbourg, France
    April 6: — in Ankara, Turkey
    April 16: — in an op-ed that appeared in U.S. and Latin American newspapers prior to the Summit of the Americas
    April 18: — at the Summit of the Americas in Port of Spain, Trinidad, where he said, “We have at times been disengaged, and at times we sought to dictate our terms.”

    Again, he says this and then turns around and dictates to Israel how they should run their country.

    Another note – while it’s disturbing enough to know that there is probably at least a dozen more that agree with Thomas, what’s even more disconcerting is remembering various times throughout history when a man was worshipped as God, only to turn around and seriously hurt the very people that worshipped him.

    Fortunately, these people are primarily located in only a few areas of the country. (albeit, large cities) On the one hand, that causes them to talk only amongst themselves and believe that their point of view is shared by the majority of Americans. On the other hand, the majority of the country is relatively free from having to listen to them on a daily basis, and more importantly, they aren’t teaching in our schools.
