Obamessiah gonna Change the World

After he takes care o’ all that, he’s a gonna “Change the World.”

From today’s Telegraph.co.UK:

The supremely confident demeanour and exalted rhetoric of the Democratic nominee at a New Hampshire event betrayed that he is a man convinced he is poised to make history.

{…}

But much of Mr Obama’s speech in Londonderry – punctuated by cries of “We all love you Obama”, “I love you” and “We will work with you” – was devoted to the kind of quasi-religious sentiments and motivational-coach style exhortations, the kind of pride that set him up for a big fall in January.

“I want you to believe,” said the candidate, clad in an open-necked shirt and barn jacket. “Not so much believe just in me but believe in yourselves. Believe in the future. Believe in the future we can build together. I’m confident together we can’t fail.”

{…}

There was a carnival atmosphere among the crowd of some 4,000, who almost drowned Mr Obama out as he reached his crescendo and said: “I promise you. We won’t just win New Hampshire. We will win this election and, you and I together, we’re going to change the country and change the world.”

Louis Farrakhan has also called Barack Obama the “hope of the entire world”, although to be fair to the Obama campaign they did denounce Farrakhan’s support. To be fair to all of us, it’s still a mystery why Barack Obmam spent twenty years listening to the Black Liberation Theology pushing Jeremiah Wright, who thinks highly of Farrakhan.

In NYC, an Obama supporter attacked a McCain/Palin supporter, unprovoked.

While the Democrat-leaning media continues to scare undecided voters with bedtime stories about some mythical angry McCain supporter whom nobody has seen, here is a real district attorney’s complaint documenting an unprovoked assault by an enraged Democrat against a McCain volunteer in midtown Manhattan: “Defendant grabbed the sign [informant] was holding, broke the wood stick that was attached to it, and then struck informant in informant’s face thereby causing informant to sustain redness, swelling, and bruising to informant’s face and further causing informant to sustain substantial pain.”

But wait, as Paul Harvey is want to say, “There’s more to the story.”

The overly formal document doesn’t mention this important detail: the victim was a small, quiet, middle-aged woman wearing glasses, and the attacker was a loud, angry man who went into orbit at the mere sight of McCain campaign signs.

Have you seen this on ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, NYT, LAT . . . anywhere but the Internet?

I suspect that if the roles were reversed and some angry Republican man had launched an unprovoked attack on a frail, bespectacled, Obama-supporting female the media would have had a field day, never letting this story off the front pages up until the election.

Will the media run with a story of an Obama supporter who went berserk at the sight of McCain signs and repeatedly struck a woman volunteer on the head with a stick?

No u-know-what Sherlock — if it had been a Republican man beating a Democrat woman with a stick after tearing apart some Obama posters — well, that just wouldn’t happen now, would it? Kinda reminds me of the difference between the world’s two big religions. One goes ape sh_t over any tiny perceived slight and riots and kills with careless abandon. The other takes heaps of abuse, scorn and outright profane attacks and simply turns the other cheek, prays and goes on about its business. You connect the dots, name the names. I’m not saying that Barack Obama is a Muslim, he’s NOT, or that the Democrats are like al Qaeda, they AREN’T. But the radical Left in our midst is getting more and more hyper and less and less tolerant as they perceive that they might just get the key to the White House men’s room on 11/4. In fact, they are exhibiting the worst sort of pack behaviour. Caesar Milan would be giving them a touch and a big Shhhhh — but I think he’s a Dem.

Some of your children are being taught all about Barack Obama, but not John McCain, in elementary school, complements of the Houghton Mifflin Co.

The book was chosen by a group of teachers because of how well it meets the state’s academic standards, the Racine district said in its statement.

‘‘The choice of this selection was to provide a contemporary and multicultural figure to explore the unit on community,’’ the district said.

Nothing in the book about John McCain and his status as a former prisoner of war, and a LONG lifetime of service to his country via a naval career, the House of Representatives and the Senate. Nope — that sure doesn’t compare very well with teaching ACORN how to organize in the community, or how to vote present in the Illinois Senate or how to head a national Senate committee on Afghanistan during a war in Afghanistan and never hold any hearings. There’s some real accomplishment for ya. You do have to give Barack one thing, the Chicago political machine has really taught him well on how to be a candidate. What’s missing is how to actually DO SOMETHING after being elected. But, in regards to the title of this post, that might be a very good thing if we end up with a President Barry ‘O’ who wants to Change the World.

We won’t have to ever use the full last name, natch. ‘Cause in Obamaland, it’s always all about the ‘O’.

Candidate Barack Obama
