Conservative Malaise and the October Surprise

[Update: Ed Morrissey at Hot Air presents the proof that Berg and his allegations in the video below are nonsense that only distract us from the real challenge -- bringing to the masses the radical Leftist beliefs and potential actions of Barack Obama. Ignore this if you wish, I'll not bring it up again -- 'Okie']

The election is getting tight — or not, depending upon who you read or listen to. The Dems, and the MSM that slavishly support them are putting out the meme that an Obama landslide is eminent. In today’s LAT, they are quoting and reinforcing the concept that John McCain should simply acknowledge that he will lose and start acting like a gracious loser; to end his political career on a high note instead of fighting to the wire — for the good of the country, natch.

The Dems are also working overtime to hang the albatross of the economic crisis around John McCain’s neck, as if he never made the effort to fix the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac mess way back in 2006 — while at the same time Obama was getting over $120,000 in donations from those two entities.

I keep asking myself, “Where’s McCain’s October surprise for ol’ Barry Hussein Obama? Well, the following accusation isn’t from the McCain camp, it’s actually from a life-long Democrat who doesn’t want to see the Constitution thwarted. [H/t Bookworm]

Bookworm asks, “Is this the real October surprise?”

“My question is this — If you’re a natural born citizen, what are you hiding?”

And then she comments:

It would be easy to dismiss this all as a tinfoil conspiracy but for one thing: Obama is clearly hiding something. If he were transparent about this whole thing, it would vanish in a second.

In a second post she examines the possibility of a McCain/Palin win in CA!

If Dems are not going to get out as many voters as they’ve pretended they have, and if we can get out all the voters we really have, we can make a difference.

Also, just as they’re trying to depress our vote with all this “landslide” talk, they may also depress their own. After all, for busy, scattered, chaotic people (and there are those on both sides of the political aisle), voting can be a pain. If you’re sure that you’re candidate is going to win by a landslide regardless, isn’t that an invitation for you to stay home. After all, how much can your vote matter? We, on the other hand, know our votes matter, and we’re going to get out there and do something.

Ya gotta keep on believin’. Ya just gotta!
