So do McCain's. 1. The Ethics inquiry concluded that Palin was 'proper and lawful' in firing a state commissioner - but failed to keep her husband from meddling in the trooper's discipline. 2. McCain was also cleared of impropriety but criticized for poor judgment. 3. Four of the Keating five were Democrats. In fact, so distressed was McCain about the Keating affair that he went on to introduce legislation to prevent that type of thing from happening again.
