Why Sarah Palin — Palin Derangement Syndrome In Full Dementia Mode!
P.D.S. — wow, that was fast! But first, another reason Why Sarah Palin?
Well, for on thing, she sold the Alaska Governor’s private jet on E-Bay to relieve the state of its expense and she also flies coach. One more thing — she was indeed pregnant in April — Left wing nuttery aside.
Seriously folks, the smears and attacks coming out of the Lefty blogs, and even some of the mainstream sites is disturbing at best, although it certainly shows the true colors of the Progressive spirit. Jeff Goldstein at Protein Wisdom has a list leading off at the moment with a link to Wizbang where an Alan Colmes of Hannity & Colmes fame post accusing Palin of mistreating her unborn 5th child by not immediately going to the hospital when her water broke is highlighted with a screenshot of the post, just in case Colmes figured out how badly he had screwed up and took it down — which he did! Way to man up there, Alan. Actually, he addresses it here.
Dan Collins of Protein Wisdom reacts:
I’ve mentioned before that I don’t give a rat’s ass whether or not Obama was born out of wedlock. I don’t give one, either, about this, being notoriously stingy with rodents’ tookuses. But keep it up, leftards, if you want America’s women to push back, big time. And I know I can count on it, because you just can’t help yourselves, so filled with the milk of human kindness you are.
So, let me see. We’ve got Sarah Palin causing the Down syndrome of her baby who was actually her daughter’s baby whose big brother Track might have been conceived out of wedlock but who nevertheless grew up in a loving home where the parents were willing to make the sacrifices that that many children bring. That’s really . . . mindbuggering, but apparently all of a piece with the cognitive dissonance that McCain’s choice has caused for those loving, caring, tolerant, inclusive, mentally flexible lefties. Good thing they aren’t slaves to the mind-forged manacles of the kind of fossilized categorical imperatives that condition the right.
And these are the same people who think that digging into O!s affiliations with Ayers is too much?
Apparently, the CNN news pool can get nasty, fast. Live feed, they didn’t know — A-wipes!
One of the biggest Leftist memes against Palin is that she had the audacity of hope for a life by her 5th child, which she knew would be a Down’s child. Dr. Melissa Clouthier calls the feminists out on this one:
That’s too rich. The fact that she is living equal rights doesn’t count. She has her own career. She demonstrated her right to choose and chose to keep her children and chose to birth them even after finding out one child wasn’t “perfect.” She’s not a eugenicist as so many Lefties are proving themselves to be. Gay people take note. You’re next. But see, she made the WRONG choice and therefore she is not deserving of NOW’s endorsement.
The only issue that matters for NOW is abortion. It’s the litmus test. A woman doesn’t matter. She has to be right sort of woman…a woman who believes abortion is the only way.
Don’t look to Obama to reign in any of this madness, as Barack made it perfectly clear about his position on abortion while in Pennsylvania:
“Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old,” he said. “I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.
The Anchoress, who gets multitudes more traffic that yours truly, addresses those that have assailed her in comments to her posts on Palin:
I look at Palin and I see a REAL “working” mom, one who actually worked “with her hands” – she and her husband BOTH were union members and BOTH commercial fishermen – a person who got involved and, because of her smarts and passion, (not because of her marriage or her connections) she progressed to the highest office in her state, all while raising a family.
But even before I see her womanhood, I see her well thought-out policies, I see her priorities. I see her not just talking the talk, but walking the walk.
I know you’re all about the identity-politics; the race card, the gender card, but I’m really more interested in Palin’s policies than her periods. And the talking points you’ve sent to me seem pretty lame. Politically pubescent.
So, let’s see, in November, do I vote for the baby-killers or the baby-lovers?
Gee, is that really such a hard one?
