Looks like ol’ Barack Obama really, really liked the adulation he received in Berlin. Now, he’s planning to go back to Europe, Geneva, Switzerland this time, but instead of a quarter-million screaming Germans he’s looking for a few hundred well-heeled ex-pats with large bank accounts and itchy check-writing fingers. They better be ready to write a lot o’ zeros on those checks, as the George Clooney hosted events will come with $1,000 and $10,000 per plate los cuenta.Ed Morrissey has more:

Let’s hope that Obama remembers to say “merci, beaucoup” as they pass along the checks. Otherwise we’d be totally embarrassed to have him traveling abroad.

Maybe during the convention, the Republicans can dedicate a large-screen monitor at the Xcel Center to keep track of Obama’s second European jaunt of the campaign. They could call it, “Where In The World Is Barack Obama?” The show could track him through the summer houses of the rich and famous Americans who can afford to own villas overseas, and put dollar signs up on a map wherever he stops off for some foie gras.

Shouldn’t Obama be campaigning in, say, America after the convention? If he’s that hard up for campaign cash, maybe he shouldn’t have broken his promise to stay within the public-finance system for the election.

With Barack, it’s usually all about the ‘O’. But sometimes, it’s also all about the $$$!

“We don’t look like those other guys on dollar bills!”

So they loaded up the truck private jet and they moved flew to Beverly Geneva [to rake in some] Hills Bills, [dollar bills] that is, [sittin' in] swimming pools, [hob nobbin' with] movie stars.

“Y’all come back now, ya hear?”
