Obama Website Scrubbed — But, Hey, “The Surge Still Isn’t Working” — “Is It?” “Well, Maybe”

Wow! Have we got another “I voted for it before I voted against it!” moment in Presidential campaign politics? Or, do we have just another lying truth-stretching South-side Chicago Pol flip-flopping changing his mind? We ask, you decide. From yesterday’s NY Daily News:
Barack Obama’s campaign scrubbed his presidential Web site over the weekend to remove criticism of the U.S. troop “surge” in Iraq, the Daily News has learned.
The presumed Democratic nominee replaced his Iraq issue Web page, which had described the surge as a “problem” that had barely reduced violence.
Nice . . . nothing like backing off one of the points that got you the nomination over Hillary in the first place. But hey, for ol’ Barack, this is getting to be a habit worthy of an intervention. Maybe we’ll see him featured on A&E’s new series The Cleaner? 
Still, the NY Daily News continues:
Campaign aide Wendy Morigi said Obama is “not softening his criticism of the surge. We regularly update the Web site to reflect changes in current events.”
GOP rival John McCain zinged Obama as a flip-flopper. “The major point here is that Sen. Obama refuses to acknowledge that he was wrong,” said McCain, adding that Obama “refuses to acknowledge that it [the surge] is succeeding.”

[W]here I decided that the meaning I found in my life, the values that were most important to me, the sense of wonder that I had, the sense of tragedy that I had, that all these things were captured in the Christian story, and that…that, that, also that community of faith was one that suited me.
Do ya like that folks? Not the Christian reality, not the Christian experience, not a personal relationship with Christ, but — “the Christian story”. He’s the Obamessiah in his own mind all right — scary! Who you gonna believe indeed.
