Dennis Prager 25th Anniversary Roast

Except for cooking, I rarely discuss personal happenings here at Okie Manor, but last night was just too special to keep to myself! In the image above you see talk-radio host Dennis Prager as he delivers his rebuttals to all the good-natured insults from a special panel of compatriots and friends that gathered at the Richard M. Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, California last evening to roast Dennis on his 25th anniversary of being on radio — Whew!

Okie & Dennis
One of those, “Can I get a picture
with you” moments.
Yours truly has a wonderful friend that somehow managed to get tickets to this long-sold-out event and let me tag along, VIP tickets to boot; Which meant that we got to scarf up on the excellent hor’dourves, get a chance to hear a pre-roast address by Dennis, and then to sit up front — it was a long room, so that last was most important.

Joining moderator Michael Medved to make not-nice to Dennis was Hugh Hewitt, Bruce Herschensohn, UCLA’s Dr. Steven Marmer, Dennis’ producer Alan Estrin, his agent, and a high-school and long-time associate. I’ll have to get those names later, and will link to audio when available. The crowd was in stitches for over two hours — who knew that Bruce Herschensohn was so funny?

It was fun! Thanks, Maier.
