What Would You Die For?

dead Russian Female security guardThere are lots of ways to die, most of them not desirable, but being dragged to death at high speed sure isn’t one of the good ones.

That is the fate which befell the woman you see here, Anna Loginova, Russia’s “most famous – and glamorous – female bodyguard” who took offense at the notion that she and her gals couldn’t match up to their male counterparts.

In a recent magazine interview, she insisted that she and her team of glamorous bodyguards gave better protection than the more traditional beefy male security men.

“I do think that a girl should be a girl, not a Terminator,” she said. She posed semi-naked for a Moscow men’s magazine to make it clear that she was feminine as well as good with a gun.

Said to have died at the scene from massive head injuries, looking at her picture I’m thinkin’ what a waste.

Police believe that she was killed in a random carjacking and was not the victim of an attack based on her work for wealthy high-profile Russian clients.

Loginova ran an agency for female bodyguards, some trained by the ex-KGB, to give discreet protection to Moscow’s billionaires and their wives and mistresses.

There is an irony at work here, and brings up the question posed by this post’s title. In Loginova’s case, it was for a Porsche Cheyenne SUV. She hung onto the door handle while it was being carjacked a bit too long, until the speed was too high to let go — and the thief simply played the odds and drug her to her death. Tragic — pathetic really . . .

What Would You Die For?

Not a Porsche.
