Not that I’m at all surprised, but today’s Los Angeles Times mentions not one word about the Cindy Sheehan led protest that so drowned out the Democratic conference held to unveil their “new” strategy for thwarting corruption in Congress that Democratic Caucus Chairman Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill. had to abandon the public area and take the conference inside to a caucus room. You can see/hear this mess at Hot Air.The last mention of Sheehan in the LAT was on 12/30.

I don’t know about you, but when a group of Lefty protesters show up and disrupt a Congressional event, that kinda seems like news. If it had happened to a Republican led event, it would have been headlined page one, big and bold. But, since it caused embarrassment to the Dems though — Move along . . . nothin’ to see here folks!

Of course, they do run a pic of ol’ Nancy Pelosi flexin’ her bicep on the front page today.

An energy seemed to build around her throughout the day. The Mellon Auditorium, where finger sandwiches and petits fours were set out for 500, roared at times with approval for the most powerful woman in Washington, who at one point stood on the stage and flexed her biceps.

“Know your power,” Pelosi said, recalling advice the late Rep. Lindy Boggs gave her, adding: “And we took it.”

“[T]he most powerful woman in Washington”, according to the LAT — that should make Hilliary happy. And ol’ Jane Harmon, D-Ca. isn’t exactly feeling the Ya Ya of Sisterhood either. Of course it wouldn’t be the Times without them letting us know that the neocons are still influencing the Iraq war, that Mitt Romney is still a Mormon and that our guv, Arnie, is finally doing something right. I sure hope that Arnold spends more time discussing universal health care for the children of CA with Mitt, than with Sheila Kuehl.

Looks like the Los Angeles Times is gettin’ 2007 started off on the right, make that Left, foot! (db)
