Images of Animals In The Womb — Maybe If We Just Transpose A Little?
. . . Nah — That might Upset Some Preconceptions Or Something .
“Animals In The Womb” — “tiny but perfect in every way.”
Hmmm, seems like this is what us Pro-lifers keep saying about human embryos, human fetuses, the human unborn — which are being slaughtered in mass on a daily basis, right here in the good ol’ U.S. of A. Although I’m gonna slam the Daily Mail writer a bit for this article, it might just make some of those abortion-lovers among us to think a bit.
An unborn elephant, tiny but perfect in every way. A dolphin swimming in the womb, just as it will have to swim in the ocean the moment it is born. An unborn dog panting.
Each one amazing and now, thanks to these remarkable pictures, they can be seen for the first time.
I guess all those ultrasounds of tiny nascent humans sucking thumbs, pics of unborn babies stretching and grasping, kicking and wiggling haven’t registered with some folk, even if the same group that is making these images available did a similar workup for human embryos in 2004. There are comments, too. Most are thinking similar things, while others are awash in . . . well, here’s an example:
How beautiful! People should respect animals more. They are sensuous creatures who feel pain and emotion like us. - Georgina, Wales, Cardiff
Georgina, people should respect human life more — wait, haven’t pro-abortion groups been trying to tell us that fetuses don’t feel pain when they’re chopped up and sucked out of the womb? As you said, we humans are “sensuous creatures who feel pain and emotion”. Maybe even when we’re in the womb? Just askin . . .
But the majority of the comments are similar to this one:
Great pictures. Most people would rightly think it wrong to butcher the beautiful baby elephant that is half way through its gestation period, yet when it comes to human babies, it happens hundreds of times every single day.
If we read that these animal foetuses had been aborted shortly after the pictures and scans were taken, what would the reaction be? How can we allow such brutality against unborn human beings to continue? - Stewart Cowan, Stranraer, U.K.
Good question, Stewart — good question. I hope that these images and their being televised on the National Geographic Channel next month will cause some deep thinking about the wholesale destruction of our human unborn. A bit o’ therapeutic anthropomorphism in reverse, so to speak . . . (db)
