Thoughts On Qana

[Update]

Today Michelle Malkin’s Vent on Hot Air asks “Who is Green Helmet? And why does he keep showing up in posed images with dead Muslim children?” Also, don’t miss the comments of one legislator that is truly “dingled”!

Qana
Cox & Forkum Political Cartoons

This is pretty much self-explanatory, and damning to Hezbollah and its supporters, especially to those on this side of the pond that hate Israel, hate Jews and love all things Islamic. Why do we see so much of that attitude in the MSM? It’s like they’re all channeling Neville Chamberlain or something. That certainly sums up our local rag, a more-each-day pathetic excuse for a major metropolitan newspaper — I refer to the LA Times as the Calista Flockhart of newspapers, or maybe its really the Kiera Knightley edition! However, the Kosher Hedgehog really nails it in his post today: L.A. TIMES Continues Its Offensive Against Israel

The International Red Cross reports in a press release on July 30, 2006 that it recovered 28 bodies from the bombed out building in Qana, Lebanon, of which 19 were children. The loss of even one civilian life is a tragedy, but why is it that the international press, including our own Los Angeles Times, continues to report that the death toll in the incident was 56, exactly twice the number of bodies recovered by the Red Cross?
(…)
If one needs any further evidence that in the eyes of the Times, Israel can never do anything right, here is a story from today’s Times that, believe it or not, criticizes Israel for warning Gazans before launching missile strikes at their homes! It seems that the only thing that Israel would do that would satisfy the Times would be to roll over and die. [emph mine]

Yep! That’s our favorite kitty-box-liner in action — Oh, ya betcha! And, if you missed it, Patterico completely exposes the Times’ overt anti-Israel bias, which has really ramped up to a dull roar ever since the Israeli/Hezbollah war began. No special glasses or code readers needed — just open your eyes and see what they put on page one, above the fold . . . (db)
