Israel -- no negotiations

Cox & Forkum

Israel isn’t in the mood to negotiate with Hamas. From CNN:

Israel continued military actions Sunday as part of an operation aimed at securing the release of an Israeli soldier and ending Palestinian attacks against Israel, after rejecting a cease-fire proposed by the Palestinian Prime Minister Saturday.

Yeah, the Palestinians keep making outrageous demands, and keep launching missiles into Israel, still the world at large is not on the Israelis side in this struggle.

Cheat Seeking Missiles
found a guy that was wrong on the government’s actions against the NY Tunnel Terrorist Plots. Come to find out, the Oregon based Lefty pundit is wrong about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, too.

Yes, the actions of Israel are no less an act of terrorism than the actions of Hamas suicide bombers.

As we have seen the neocons and the Likudniks are one in the same and their tactics are the same and equally ineffective in solving problems. Israeli policies in relation to the Palestinians and the Bush administration’s “war on terror” have done little but create more terrorists and making us less safe not more.

In regards to the President’s reaction to the NYT outing of the SWIFT program, he thinks that “[t]he attack on the New York Times is just the latest episode of the Bush/Cheney administration’s attempt to undo the constitution of the United States and create a tyrannical presidency.”

Also, “It’s not about the Swift story, it’s about the press reporting about the mess this administration has made in the world and how we as Americans are in grave danger as a result.”

Each time I come upon one of these I get depressed, ’cause the chasm between their world view and ours just seems too wide . . . (db)
