Jews in America are mostly Liberal and most are Democrats, and a lot of those are not just Left, but hard-Left to boot! Considering the fact that virtually the entire Muslim world wants them, and Western society in general, converted to Islam, subjugated to Islamic rule or outright eradicated from the face of the Earth, and that Liberals can’t seem to condemn this for a wide variety of reasons, not the least of which is multiculturalism — why are Jews predominantly Liberal? In one of his regular columns at Real Clear Politics Dennis Prager lays out a six-point explanation that makes a lot of sense, at least to this center-right, Conservative-Christian blogger. Here are Dennis’ six points:

• Judaism is indeed preoccupied with social justice[.]

• More than any other major religion, Judaism has always been preoccupied with this world.

• Most Jews are frightened by anything that connotes right wing — such as the words “right-wing” and “conservative.” Especially since the Holocaust, they think that threats to their security emanate from the Right only.

• Liberal Jews fear most religion. They identify religion — especially fundamentalist religion and especially Christianity — with anti-Semitism.

• Despite their secularism, Jews may be the most religious ethnic group in the world. The problem is that their religion is rarely Judaism; rather it is every “ism” of the Left.

• Liberal Jews fear nationalism. The birth of nationalism in Europe planted the secular seeds of the Holocaust[.]

There are clarifying statements and explanations for all six points. If you are curious about this phenomena as much as I, you should go and read/study all of them. Dennis wraps up with this:

If you believe that leftist ideas and policies are good for America and for the world, then you are particularly pleased to know how deeply Jews — with their moral passion, intellectual energies and abilities, and financial clout — are involved with the Left. If, on the other hand, you believe that the Left is morally confused and largely a destructive force in America and the world, then the Jews’ disproportionate involvement on the Left is nothing less than a tragedy — for the world and especially for the Jews.

If a Jewish voting majority puts Democrats back in office, especially those of the far Left that don’t believe in confrontation with Evil, and Iran gets nukes and uses them on Israel, it will certainly be nothing less than “a tragedy — for the world and especially for the Jews.” (db)
