Nutters At the Post Office in Santa Monica

I was driving my wife home from work today and we stopped at our neighborhood post office here in the People’s Republic of Santa Monica. In front was a table set up with anti-Bush Administration pamphlets and books, and a couple of young nutters who couldn’t be more than 22 or so tending the display. I’ve seen these guys before. Pathetic!

As my wife came out of the PO, one of them said to her, “Would you like to see Dick Cheney tarred and feathered?”

Not sure exactly what she said in response. As we drove the block-and-a-half home I thought of what I would have liked to have said to him:

“I’d love to see you try — and then I would get to see a Secret Service sharpshooter put a 30mm hole through that empty noggin of yours!”

Not very Christian here in Holy Week I admit, but these Bush-hating whackos really tee me off! (db)

    If these people were inside the post office, or otherwise on the postal service grounds, the U.S. Postal Service employees should have run them off with threats of trespassing on federal property. The postmaster should be held accountable for the lack of inaction. I would not hesitate to report it. If it was a legal protest, I would have just laughed at the morons and their Bush/Cheney bashing comments. Your remarks would have been great too. I wish you’d had the opportunity to deliver them. I’d like to see these young folks try their nonsense at a post office here in Oklahoma. They would be very fortunate if the police came before THEY were tarred and feathered.
