A Bloody Map of Islamic Terror

I was following a link from All Things Beautiful this AM over to the Gates of Vienna blog to see a world map of Islamic terror. A product of The Bloody Borders Project, this map was constructed by Gates of Vienna’s Baron Bodissey, and after over a hundred man-hours of effort, we have a startling visual reference to all the acts of Islamic terror since September 11, 2001. You do remember that one, don’t you? G of V’s Dymphna certainly does.
Remember when we heard about “The New World Order”? Few of us envisioned a world order straight from the gates of hell. On that beautiful September day in 2001, the sky a deep cerulean blue, we watched bodies, people, people like you and me, leaping, jumping arm-in-arm, sailing through space. We never saw them land.
Everyone has his own interior landscape of that September day. For many of us, September 12th was indeed the commencement of a New World Order. It was not an order founded on innocence or optimism or platitudes. It had become a world of resolve in the face of uncertainty. Whatever happened, we would not go quietly again.
The Bloody Borders maps are interactive — click on a locale and you get the details of the attacks in that region, and are broken down via years and timelines as well as an aggregate map of everything since 9/11. Except for the data on the 9/11 attacks, he used as his reference The Religion of Peace. If you’re keeping score in this conflict, compare your notes with The Terrorists Scorecard. Can’t tell the nayers from the slayers without a scorecard! Also take the time to view the animated version, (takes a few to download — a lot of data there!), but well worth the wait time.
A list of Islamic terror attacks in just the last six months (bottom 2/3rd of page) is absolutely shocking! What this effort really points out is that moderate religious Muslims, if such a group actually exists as opposed to non-religious Muslims (we know at least on of these personally), have to take control of their religion, before it really is, as per Samuel P. Huntington’s essay (The Clash of Civilizations?) The West Against All the Rest! Without our turning this little rock into a burnt-nuclear cinder, I’m not at all sure who would win in that conflict . . . (db)

As a prime target of Islamic terror, you would think we Americans wouldn’t have become subdued and complacent regarding terror attacks, as it seems many of us have. After 911, my opinion was and still is, not WHETHER we’ll be attacked by Islamic terrorists again but WHEN and WHERE. Bin Laden has promised that another attack on America will be occurring “soon”. I’m very certain that our government has stopped several attempts by these terrorist groups to harm us again, but we cannot reasonably expect them to continue to “bat 1,000″ forever. We must accept reality, and stay prepared for the worst, because most likely, sooner or later, it’s coming. Keep your powder dry, my friends. I will.

Two Hypotheses for consideration:
An AP story dated March 5 by Omar Sinan states that Al-Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahri says the West “Continues to insult the prophet Muhammad and Jesus–both are not sacred anymore; whereas no one dares harm Jews or challenge Jewish claims of the Holocaust.”
Hypothesis #1: Could a new and diabolically subtle Islamic strategy be developing? Specifically, the strategy outwardly and adroitly embraces Jesus and Christianity (Jesus being the last great prophet before Muhammad and Christians as “people of the book”) and uses this strategy to position Islam and Christianity together against Judaism. The plan would be to capitalize on the perceived latent and politically incorrect belief among some (perhaps many) Christians that the Jews were in fact responsible for the death of Christ, thereby isolating Israel. The Romans were just the “muscle” that got it done.
Hypothesis #2: The “beast” and apocalyptic Anti-Christ of the End Days is not a person, but a movement–Radical and Militant Islam. It was “born” in 1968, June (6th month) during the Six Days War–won by Israel. The sign of the beast 666. A Possible cryptogram: 1+9+6+8=24 divided by 4=6; June is the 6th month (start of the war) and the war lasted six days. Ergo 666. The leader of the movement is 38 years old. How old is the Iranian leader?
Just some hypotheses for discussion. Both hypotheses are perhaps rather far-fetched, but…
