New York City Subway Threatened

Just minutes ago authorities in New York City announced that a credible threat of terrorist bombs being placed in the New York subway system during this current Jewish holiday period had been identified. A news source has been holding this information for two days at authorities’ request.
According to sources in intelligence, emergency services and police headquarters, when three Iraqi insurgents were arrested several days ago during a raid by a joint FBI-CIA team, one of those caught disclosed the threat. Because it slipped out during the arrest, the plot was deemed credible.
After several days of work, sources said, the NYPD is increasingly concerned because it has been unable to discredit the initial source and additional information from the source.
The 19 operatives were to place improvised explosive devices in the subways using briefcases, according to two sources.
In the press conference taking place now, Mayor Bloomberg said that they have never before been apprised of a threat with this much specificity, and other officials say that it is definitely “on point” and has to be taken seriously. Police presence in and around the subways will be increased. The Mayor says that he will continue to use the subway and encourages all New Yorkers to do the same. He also said the following excellent words of advice:
