Is the MSM Covering the Air America Funding Scandal Yet?

Nope!

Taking a look this AM once again we see the same results from a search:

New York Times – nope
Washington Post – nyet,
Chicago Tribune – nada,
Los Angeles Times – no way, Jose!

However, the not so MSM is still working on it, a little. Bob Kappsatter of the New York Daily News writes that some of the Gloria Wise programs are being taken over by another club.

As investigations continue into a Bronx nonprofit stripped of public funding, a major social service agency will take over one of its main programs tomorrow.

The Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club will take over administration of the Pathways for Youth program, an affiliate of the Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club Inc., which serves more than 2,500 children and seniors.

The transferred program, in the Castle Hill Houses, will be renamed the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club Castle Hill Unit, officials said yesterday.

Leon H. of RedState.Org writes that there seems to at last be some MSM reporters starting to stir the mix a little.

As I pointed out here, if there’s one thing the media hates worse than Republicans, it’s being left behind on a story that everyone else is covering. Once the momentum builds on a media swarm, you can bet that this is gonna snowball.

Ah — the more things change . . . (db)

[Update -- h/t: Flopping Aces] Curt reminds us that The Radio Equalizer has been covering this issue with aplomb, and that the latest T.R.E. post features a great Al Franken quote with the audio and a transcript to back it up plus in-depth analysis.

Remember Kevin Nealon’s classic Saturday Night Live “Mr. Subliminal” character?

He could slip a critical point into the smallest spaces, creating some of the show’s funniest moments.

After a detailed analysis of Al Franken’s recent public Air America scandal comments, it’s clear he may owe Nealon one, for stealing his act.

That’s because slipped into Franken’s rambling set of excuses over why he and Air America are not responsible for $875,000 in taxpayer funds, diverted from a Bronx-based community center, a key admission is made.

More when there’s more . . . (db)
