My name is Rachel Toles and I was there the day that Julia Melnikov (your old hygienist) was killed at the crosswalk on September 25th. I witnessed everything. I didn't know who she was. After she was hit and landed her husband started screaming out. In a state of shock, I quickly began gathering up her belongings that were scattered all over Fairfax. Her shoe flew nearly a block. I stood there with her purse desperately calling the police. I pulled out her wallet and saw that she was a USC student as I am. That night has haunted me ever since. According to Lola's Martini lounge (the place where she was having dinner) more than a dozen people have been killed at that same cross walk in the past couple of years. They said they've called and tried to get the city to put in a traffic light, but to know avail. I desperately want to do something about this. What can you suggest?<em></em> Hi there OkieBoy.
