DrudgeYou’re scaring the living wee out of me today!

Three Surrey, B.C., men have been charged in Washington state with conspiracy to distribute and import marijuana after law enforcement officials discovered a tunnel crossing the U.S.-Canada border. [emph. mine]

The U.S. Justice Department says the 110-metre tunnel runs from a depth of one to three metres and is reinforced with iron rebar and 2×6 wood supports

It starts under a Quonset hut in Langley and ends beneath the living room of a house in Lynden, Wash. (…)

Wonder how many more of these there are, and what else besides “pot” has been smuggled across into the U.S.?

Just asking . . .

[Update] On FOXNews headline updates, Jane Skinner has just reported that Federal investigators have been monitoring the building of this tunnel for the last eight months, apparently waiting until the illegal drug-running activity occurred to make arrests. Makes me feel a little bit better! (db)

It’s a good question and one a lot more people should be asking.
