My Nightmare Scenario is now posted — Why We Must Fight Terror — Why We Must Win

[Welcome, Hugh Hewitt readers] I am working on this, hope to get it posted by mid-next week, so please bookmark me and check back — or maybe Hugh will relink when it is up. I can write scenarios already but want hard data to back up the assumptions about casualtiy figures. So if you have time, take a look around at what this ol’ Okie has already been writing . . .

Hugh Hewitt has a very disturbing answer to his own question to the Democratic party and the MSM, “What will it take?”

But my fear, reinforced yesterday by Al Franken, Tom Oliphant and Joshua Micah Marshall and by Robinson et al today is that the dead and wounded in London mean nothing to them compared to the task of bleeding George Bush and whomever he selects for any high profile job. The Democratic leadership has not yet showed their post 7/7 hand, but there really is very little reason to hope that anything will have changed. What would that change take? If 9/11 could not do it, the answer is really too terrible to give.

I’m working on a post for sometime in the next couple of weeks that will outline that terrible answer .– and it “is” terrible almost beyond imagining . . .

It is indeed terrible. Something to consider in your deliberations:

We cannot win a religious war by engaging the enemy as if he were a law-breaker. He has extracted himself from our society and will never live by our norms and standards. The only “solution” may be a physical separation and isolation of the enemy from our societies. This will be especially difficult and painful [remember WWII] when our political leaders as well as the populace at large refuse to see the true nature of the war that has been declared against us.

We in the US [I can't speak for the rest of Western Civilization] must eventually face up to the true nature of GWOT, or we will surely not survive it.
