Stiff upper lip and a firm resolve — the Brits have done it before, and now they’ll need to do it again — survive bombs going off in the great city of London.

And the other day I was worried about a few rock throwing losers! Hearts and minds, people — The Brits have hung with us in Iraq, and now the people on the street know the reasons why — Prayers for their dead and injured — Let’s all hope this doesn’t become another Spain!

Folks, this is war. Mourn the dead, heal the wounded, but pursue the perpetrators. Pulling into our shells will only encourage them to do it over and over until they win the ultimate political victory they desire.

Write Bush and Blair right now — offer support.
Be on the lookout for appropriate charities in London to send money to.
Write to a soldier in Iraq — ask them to kill a few terrorists for you today.
Pray for anyone you know in London – right now.

The violence in this war was started by the Islamofascists, and today’s London horror is evidence that the pool of blood in which Islam is standing is getting deeper and deeper. In contrast, the retaliatory violence against Muslims is rare, making this reaction to today’s attack even more selfish, even more dismissive of the people who were killed and injured, and their families.

Rudy was awfully close to one of the explosions!

Former Mayor of New York Rudolph Giuliani said the London terror strikes were an “eerie reminder” of 9/11 .

Mr Giuliani, who led the Big Apple through the devastating attacks, said he was only yards away from the first explosion this morning, while on a visit to London.

The injury count is now up to 700. As I keep sayin’ — More when there’s more . . .

[1:00pm] . . . Well, according to ABC radio, authorities in London are now saying that they have recovered two “unexploded” devices and that as bad as the damage and casualties have been, it could have been a lot worse. At least they now have two pieces of evidence that can be examined — for fingerprints, sources of supply, etc. — a major break for the British anti-terror folk . . .

Another SCBA buddy, Rick Moore at The Holy Coast declares this morning’s attack on London a “failure”:

The attacks this morning in London were tragic, but were also an operational failure. The current death toll is 37 and there are many hurt, but as far as changing the way the British operate or changing their hearts and minds, the attack will be a dismal failure. (…)

. . . & on the radio, Hugh Hewitt is reminding us all that this is “a Hundred Years War” and won’t be over until Islam reforms itself! (db)
