The Internet trumps even the detailed, in-depth cover stories or “think” pieces of weekly magazines. However, the problems with the Arabs/Islam is not as simplistic as an egregiously flawed journalistic exercise in Newsweek. The problem is more complex and multi-variant. However, at the core of the problem is a hatred for the American Culture and basic Islamic religious intolerance. The following translation of an inscription in Arabic from the wall of the Dome of the Rock Mosque the Temple Site, Jerusalem (Koran, Sura 2:193), summarizes the basic problem of beliefs that will never be resolved, unless the Muslim militants listen to moderate voices in their own ranks (a major long shot!): “Oh people of the book, do not go beyond the bounds in your religion and do not say about Allah anything but the truth, There is no God by Allah He has no co-partner. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, Is but a messenger of Allah and His word Which he cast upon Mary and a spirit from Him. So believe only in Allah and of his messenger But do not say three (trinity) and it will be better for you Allah is only one God Far be it from His glory that He should have a son, Verily the religion in Allah’s sight is Islam.
