Let’s Kill ‘Em All, They’re Old!
[HT: The Anchoress]
Let’s Kill ‘Em All, They’re Old! — Sounds like a rallying call for the “Culture of Death”, and evidently we have another Terri Schiavo like situation, this time down in Georgia, where 85 year old Mae Magouirk is being starved and dehydrated to death in a hospice in LaGrange. Blogs for Terri has the “verified” details:
Shiavo case Redux in Georgia: Mae Magouirk…not comatose, not vegetative, not terminal, BEING STARVED AND DEHYDRATED TO DEATH
UPDATE 1(noticed question in comments about authentication): This was confirmed by lengthy telephone call before it was posted. I personally spoke with Kenneth Mullinax, and have more details than has been posted. We do need to seek copies of court documents for posting

mailto:Mockingbird@compuhelp.netWhy is Hospice LaGrange, Ga. withholding nourishment?
Mae Magouirk is being withheld nourishment and fluids and the Provisions of her Living Will are not being honored at the Hospice-LaGrange, (1510 Vernon Street, LaGrange “Troup County” Georgia, (706-845-3905) a subsidiary of the LaGrange Hospital in LaGrange Georgia.
Her family is desperately seeking to save her life before she dies of malnourishment and dehydration.
Mae Magouirk IS NOT comatose and she IS NOT vegetative. She is not terminal!
What is happening here can and should be called “murder”, unlike the Schiavo case. Mae’s granddaughter, 36 year old Beth Gaddy, unlawfully claimed that she had power of attorney and had Mae removed from the hospital, moved to hospice, and then went before Probate Judge Donald Boyd and successfully petitioned to have Mae’s feeding/hydration tube removed. Mae’s brother and nephew, have been trying to have this “probate” judge’s ruling overturned and have Mae’s “Living Will” enforced to no avail as yet, and since Mae has been denied food and hydration since March 28th, time is running out! WorldNetDaily quotes Beth Gaddy as saying:
“Grandmama is old and I think it is time she went home to Jesus,” Gaddy told Magouirk’s brother and nephew, McLeod and Ken Mullinax. “She has glaucoma and now this heart problem, and who would want to live with disabilities like these?”
What can one say about that? I haven’t seen anything in the MSM about this one, and only find it being “reported” by the World Net Daily, not exactly a mainstream venue. Truly I hope it’s a hoax, but the Blogs for Terri claims of verification strongly indicate that it is very real indeed. Mae is old, her heart is not in good shape, but . . . “She’s Not Dead Yet!” people, and if we are now going to allow our sons, daughters, grandsons & granddaughters to have us killed because they can’t understand “who would want to live with disabilities like these”, all of us babyboomers are in for some big trouble!
Get a “Living Will”, my a$$! Ya better lock yourself up a judge! (db)
