Iron Chef Deja Vu Strikes Again
[Update: In case anyone cares, Iron Chef Chen wins the battle! Nothing like 7 year old news, huh?
Here I am, watching Iron Chef and blogging, and once again they have a challenger from Don Sabatini’s Restaurant. This is a mind bender for me because on one of my trips to Hong Kong in the late ’90s I was introduced to Don Sabatini after being taken to the Sabatini Restaurant in the Royal Garden Hotel on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong by my Chinese host Simon Yeh of the Lucky Yeh companies.
The meal was fantastic, Don Sabatini was ever so gracious, and seeing footage of the 1998 filmed Iron Chef, which is about the time of my visit, just trips me out! Makes me want to do pasta tonight . . . or fly to Hong Kong. (db)
