Just Waiting for the Judge

As we wait to hear the decision of the Federal Judge that is reviewing the Terri Schiavo case, here are some other bloggers’ reactions that I recommend you to check out.

Doug Tennepel has thoughts on “Right to Die With Dignity”:

That’s a great phrase that had to come from a marketing executive at some point. What does it mean to have a right to die with dignity? Is starving to death a way to go with dignity? Can we do that to death row inmates? Because I’d prefer that they die in this dignified way.

and on “The Party of Death”.

Dems are hysterical at the thought of keeping Schiavo alive for just a few more days before her case can be reviewed by another court. I don’t get this party. I hope these cases make good Democrats reconsider the party they belong to.

The Anchoress has information and links to even more on Judge James D. Wittemore, who is reviewing Terri’s case, plus a refute to those saying that President Bush is being inconsistent with his actions as Governor of Texas in a similar case. Look over all her posts on Terri Schiavo, some extremely good writing to be found there!

So…really, because President Bush signed this bill, the hospital could NOT simply withhold food and care from Sun Hudson and his mother had additional time to try to find a hospital that might take her son, and had 7 more days with him than she would have had previously.

Nothing about this says to me that President Bush has acted inconsistently in these two cases. In both cases, he signed the best “deal” he could. I wouldn’t say either case was about grandstanding.

Michelle Malkin provides a long list of links to more info on Terri.

Keep praying, keep reading. Now we wait . . . (db)
