I Thank God for Good Fortune

This morning I had a chest MRI. It is a follow-up test to to the MRI/MRA that I had last March which verified that I have a swollen aortic root. That means that my aorta, where it is attached to my heart, is weakened and is swelling like an aged garden hose. The aortic valve is not the right type either. Bummer. At some point in time, they will tell me it has swollen to a dangerous point, and I’ll get a new aorta and a new aortic valve. For a techie like me, that’s pretty cool, as long as I don’t really think about it too much.

The reason that I bring this up is that while I was encapsulated in that claustrophobic, super noisy MRI tube, I was thinking that Terri Schiavo was never given the chance to have an MRI test to see just what kind and how much brain damage she really has. And now, unless this federal judge gets off his a$$ and rules one way or the other very soon, she will never get that chance.

I am so very fortunate in life. My wife actually loves me and I her. Modern medicine can do miracles. And God’s grace is there for all who ask. But his wrath is also there for those that are deserving. [Removal of kinda stupid sentiments, duh!] Beware all those that choose “Death” for others over “Life”. It’s getting close to time for some imprecatory prayers. (db)

Thanks J.A. I certainly appreciate all the prayers that come my way. I’m good to go with what ever will be for me, but I am not good with what is happening to Terri.

Okie-Boy: Glad to hear this isn’t an immediate medical emergency, and they can monitor you. Don’t be skipping your doctor’s appointments now, y’hear?
    My prayers are with you.
