LA Times — Beyond the Pale

Saw the page-1 article on North Korea this AM in the Times and my eyes must have just glazed over with disgust because I missed the remainder of it while going through the inside of sec. A, but Hugh Hewitt didn’t miss a thing:

The Times has long been lost in a hall of ideological mirrors and deep, deep left-wing ideology. But this is a massacre of any standard of objective reporting. It is a puff piece for the most repressive government on the face of the planet, one which is starving its own people! Have the editors no conscience and no shame? Promoting the left at home is one thing, and an aggravating thing at that, but pimping for a ruthless killer regime that exports nuclear technology and murders hundreds of thousands?

The Times is owned by The Tribune Company, the web site for which, on its front page, proclaims:

CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP

:: Strong values have been part of Tribune since the company was founded in 1847. We are committed to maintaining ethical business practices and are an active contributor to the communities in which we serve. Look in the About Tribune section of this site to learn more.

What is it about the left that they just LOVE despots and maniacal dictators so much, especially if they are of the communist/socialist variety? The ones that starve and kill their own people. The ones that destabilize entire regions of the planet. Perhaps it’s because they, the Left, support the right to kill their own unborn children, and to instill institutional racism as policy, and love dissident speech, especially if it is destructive to the Judeo-Christian fabric of Western society.

It’s getting tougher to choke down the coffee each AM with this rag in front of me. Gotta look for another source of kitty box liners, that’s for sure! (db)
