Always nice to be noticed! In this blogger’s take on the Eason Jordan comments in Davos, Michael Moran, MSNBC.com senior correspondent picked out two references of conservative blog postings that had something pithy to say about Hardblogger’s excerpt from Moran’s Sword and Pen blog. Guess who made the list?

ECHO CHAMBER: Sword and Pen got its share of barbs in the blogosphere, too. Here are a few:

MSNBC.com’s blog, Hardblogger, which is tied to Chris Matthew’s Hardball program, carried an excerpt of the Sword and Pen blog, causing several conservative sites to attack the idea that a witch hunt was underway. Powerline, the same blog that started the ball (or head) rolling in the Dan Rather-National Guard fiasco in the autumn, saw the questioning of blogger’s motives as yet another indication that the MSM has lost its credibility .

OkieOnTheLam – yes, that’s the actual name – was a bit less vituperative, including Sword and Pen’s contribution to the debate in a rogue’s gallery of alleged liberal weenies.

Love the coasties, they never can grasp that there’s anything in America between Barstow and Buffalo. Guess I should have been a bit more vituperative, but didn’t know they cared.

What those of Moran’s ilk fail to understand is that we feel it is highly improper for someone of Eason Jordan’s position to make the allegations that he did, especially in light of the damage to our military’s credibility and the likely escalation of danger to our men in the field due to his statements being widely distributed throughout the Islamic world. But Moran and his buddies don’t seem to care about that, now. Do they? (db)
