DiscoverTheLeft.org is a recently launched website from David Horowitz that attempts to catalog the entire universe of Leftist politics – the people, the money sources, the organizations, the support from academia, etc. It must be hitting the mark as leftists are coming out of the woodwork to denigrate and denounce this effort. Horowitz answers a handful of these criticisms in his post In Denial: The Left Reacts to DiscoverTheNetwork.

The “alliance” between radical Islam and the left is generally not formal (though anyone imagining that there are no such alliances is naïve), but it can be easily identified in the profiles of individuals in the base, like Michael Moore or Ward Churchill, for that matter. Both regard the Islamic terrorists fighting America in Iraq as the resistance to an illegitimate occupation, and both believe the terrorists deserve to prevail. Organizations that share this view and are represented in this database include CounterPunch.org, Alex Cockburn’s webzine, the National Lawyers Guild, and leading “peace” organizations like International ANSWER and Code Pink. And this is just the tip of an ugly iceberg.

Horowitz speaks from personal knowledge, having been a member of the Left for over 25 years, although now a super-committed supporter of conservative issues. I’ve watch David on the talking head cable new shows, and he is genuinely concerned about the monsters around the globe whose only reason for existence is to kill all of us in the west.

Didja hear about the U.N.’s new blog, run by former Kerry aides Peter Daou and Debra DeShong? Among the blog’s initial entries are an attack on FOX News’s Oil for Food investigative report and links to pro-Kyoto Treaty propaganda.

It’s hard to concentrate on the lame lefties when the plight of Terri Schiavo weighs so heavily on my mind. So that’s all I have to write about this for now. Spend some time on David’s new site, and know thy enemy! (db)
