Finally, A Judge in His ‘Right’ Mind

The Anchoress clues us in on a Chicago Sun Times story that broke today where a judge ruled:

A frozen embryo destroyed in a Chicago fertility clinic was a human being whose parents are entitled to file a wrongful-death lawsuit, a Cook County judge ruled Friday. …

Friday, Judge Jeffrey Lawrence II said “a pre-embryo is a ‘human being’ … whether or not it is implanted in its mother’s womb” and the couple is entitled to seek the same compensation awarded to other parents whose children are killed.”

Like the Anchoress, I am also glad to see a judge taking this position. This ruling can only bolster the rising tide for a revision or overthrow of Roe vs. Wade. I am sure that the pro-abortion forces will attack this judge in mass and will fund an intense fight to have this ruling reversed on appeal. If they don’t succeed, abortion in the U.S. is toast!

We should all pray that this ruling can withstand the certain onslaught that is coming! (db)
