Blog Posts You Should Read
I didn’t get to blog yesterday as our errand route included 15 stops (15!) and after that many times in and out of the car, with all the schlepping of stuff involved, I was just too tired. But I am happy to say that a lot of those I like to read were very busy, so here are some suggested links for you to check out.
La Shawn Barber reminds us of the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision “Roe vs Wade”, which occurred 32 years ago yesterday with this statistic;
Since the ruling, over 43 million unborn babies have been murdered in the womb.
That’s over seven times the number of Jews killed by the Nazis in the Holocaust! And the Left in America wonders why it can’t compete on the subject of “values”. La Shawn also provides links to over a dozen bloggers who wrote on this subject.
The Anchoress weighs in on the European abortion epidemic with “Got a cleft palate? Well, you should just die, then. “ telling about the ever increasing number of abortions being done in the UK because of physical handicaps, even minor ones.
I’ve written about this before – this very scary road we are traveling whereby people are deemed “burdensome” or are encouraged to believe they should be willing to die and get out of the way. Sorry, I know women who were told they should abort their “damaged” babies who went on to give birth to perfectly healthy babies, and this is evil just having a high old time for itself. “Kill your babies, Kill yourselves!” it urges with mad and salivating glee!
Europe is embracing this mindset, is embracing the Culture of Death, with both arms and dragging it to herself. And too many in the US are saying, “me too! Group hug!”
The LA Times has created a section in their Sunday Opinion for criticism of the paper and its policies by outsiders (meaning conservatives). Hugh Hewitt gets his shot today with “Cover the Terror War as a War“
So many targets, so little time. I have picked The Times’ coverage of the war on terrorism to criticize because that coverage is woefully inadequate, failing to educate the paper’s readership on the nature and extent of the threat the country faces.
Hugh criticizes the Times often on his blog, (don’t we all?), but this is the first time in years that the paper has printed one of his writings. Check it out, it’s good!
Captain Ed announces that “Milwaukee Democrats To Face Felony Charges In Election-Day Conspiracy“ This is in response to some tire slashing incidents that hampered or even kept Republican voters from going to the polls on election day.
So the Kerry campaign staff knew exactly who committed the crime, and yet it took over two months to bring charges against the quintet? It sounds like a lot of people in Kerry’s office became accessories after the fact. One could presume that investigators asked the staff about the slashings; if they protected the five slashers or remained silent about what they knew, that could form an obstruction of justice charge, too.
The Feds drag the RICO act out for all sorts of stuff, why not this?
A final note on the anniversary of Roe vs Wade. Stacy Sharp recalls her participation in a “rescue” for Operation Rescue about 15 years ago.
About 15 years ago I was apart of Operation Rescue. I was only 21 but I knew that I had to do something for those who couldn’t. So I joined Operation Rescue on one of their rescues in Los Angeles.
I’ll never forget it because it was raining out, the homosexual activists were yelling at us and spitting on us, and the poor women who were going into that hell chamber called a “clinic” were being pressured by both sides.
She was so moved by the experience that she went home and wrote a song, 4000 Lives, (she also links to the media file.) She has asked that we share it with our families and friends, so I will close this post with the lyrics to her song. Thanks, Stacy.
Sphere ItFOUR THOUSAND LIVES
I can see the confusion in your eyes
And I hear your thoughts wondering why
Why did this happen to me?
I thought I was careful
Can’t you see?
The promiscuity in our land
Has left tons of blood on our hands
Four thousand lives taken a day
When will we get on our knees and pray?
God heal our broken land
Help us stop abortion on demand
Give us life
Heal man
Heal man
You believed all the lies before
So please don’t believe the proaborts
They really don’t understand
God gave me you, as a part of His plan
As people idly stand by
Don’t they hear my silent cry?
Mommy, please don’t let me die
Although I’ll change your life
Four thousand lives taken a day
When will we get on our knees and pray?
God heal our broken land
Help us stop abortion on demand
Give us life Heal man Heal man
The controversy in the USA
Everyone has something to say
We must obey God Rather than man
Now’s the time To take a stand
Four thousand lives taken a day
When will we get on our knees and pray?
God heal our broken land
Help us stop abortion on demand
Give us life Heal man
Heal man
