The Simpson Daughter – Tragedy Anew?

When the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman first hit the news, we were terrified. It was not far away, and indeed I drove that route many times either to or from work. It was such a grisly-senseless crime, and at first we wondered if another “Night Stalker” was living among us.

The arrest and trial of O.J. Simpson turned out to be a no-brainer except for a few on the minority side of the equation here in the Los Angeles jury pool. I hope that they have sleepless nights for their crime of “equaling the scales of justice” by letting a man that slaughtered his wife and an innocent man go free. At least the civil trial jury had a brain.

La Shawn Barber comments on this week’s arrest of Simpson’s daughter for disorderly conduct.

Back in 1994 when Simpson killed Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, I was overwhelmed with sadness every time I saw pictures of his beautiful child, knowing she’d grow up without a mother and raised by the man who killed her in a jealous rage. …

Unless someone intervenes through prayer and counseling, Sydney Simpson’s life will become a tabloid magazine’s dream.

What can be in the minds of children that “know” that their father butchered their mother? Pray for these kids — just don’t underestimate them. (db)
