Comment Problems Fixed?
I certainly hope so! Sorry for not posting today so far, but I have been working on a fix for the comment form not working in IE. Not exactly sure what was going on, but with reverting to a prior version of my style sheet and deactivating and reactivating some of the comment spam and menu feature plugins, all seems to be working OK again.
It was a puzzle, that’s for sure. At first, even in the browsers that were working with the forms, ForeFox and Netscape 7.2, when you tried to send the comment you were transferred to the FBI.gov website, which was probably a shock to many, it certainly was to me. Turns our that I had a “blank line” in my comment spam keywords and that triggered the anti-spam plugin to take that action. Fixed it and FF and NS were working OK, but IE still had problems. One change at a time, and finally it’s working again.
Just goes to show, test, test, test and re-test whenever you make a change to the structure of a site like this, with everything driven from php calls to databases. Maybe I should have been a “rocket scientist” after all.
Thanks to Stacy at MediaSoul and to Saintknowitall for bringing this to my attention.
(Thanks, Scott, for the generous plug. I’ve added you to my “Right View” links at left!)
Check out my newest Blogbuddy at Okie on the Lam. He is equally upset about the treatment Michelle Malkin has been receiving about being an outspoken Asian woman. Give his site a visit, if you please.
By the way, OkieBoy and I both agree that as a Christian, we have 2 cheeks we will be happy to turn, and 2 cheeks that we will then ask you to kiss. Cheers.
Thanks for reading. Now you can once again tell me what you think! (db)
