Arafat – Now in Hell?
In the often obscene, and blatantly irreligious animated series South Park, a hand puppet regularly tells people “You go to Hell, you go to Hell and you die!” One of the most often heard epitaphs is “Go to Hell.” But, do we ever really mean it, and if so, should we ever wish that someone goes to hell?
Dennis Prager gives his take on this in his latest Townhall.com article.
… So, of course, I hope Yasser Arafat is in hell. It means that a just God rules the universe. If you think that is hard-hearted, consider the alternative, that one of the most corrupt and cruel human beings of the past half-century is resting in peace. Whoever isn’t bothered by that is the one with the hard heart.
Kinda hard to argue with the logic in this piece. I know that as Christians we are supposed to “turn the other cheek”, but as I told a liberal discussion forum earlier this week, we’ve only got two cheeks! . . . db
